The moderator of the event will be Philosophy and Brain & Cognition UvA student, and former chairman of Amsterdam United; Khadija al Mourabit

When she was the chairman of Amsterdam United, she set up a mentoring program with the other borad members and organized movie nights, events and debates in order to expose students to different ethnic, religious and political backgrounds and bring them in contact with each other.

She also has been a guest at several debates, television and radio programs. In addition, she has been interviewed several times by different newspapers. Moreover, she recorded a documentary late August in the Netherlands and the Rif in Morocco (North Africa). This documentary is about women’s rights and empowerment in both countries. The common thread herein is of her life in the Netherlands, as the child of immigrant parents, and the life of her grandmother in the Rif. The documentary comes out next year in March.
